Philippine Passport Requirements for Infant, Senior Citizen, Single Parent, PWD & OFW

Important! Kindly read update below...

Update on No appointment needed (Courtesy Lane/Priority Lane/Express Lane) on the following Filipinos and General Requirements and Documents Needed for Philippine Passport Renewal here

Summer time is here! School is out and it only means one thing, it's VACATION time! Well, nauna na ang long vacation namin last year when we took #babyMartinez to Toronto, Canada. It seems to me that we will be staying here in Manila throughout the holy week. DH didn't plan anything for us this year : ( Sad, noh?

Anyway, for those of you who are planning to travel out of the country with your baby, you can avail of Department of Foreign Affairs' (DFA) Priority Lane. This benefit is given to Philippine passport applicants like Persons with Disability, Senior Citizens, OFWs and Infants/Babies/Minors who are 7 years old and below.

If the passport applicant is either one of the above, there is NO need for scheduled appointment. Yes, you read it right. You may avail of the Priority Lane at DFA Manila (Aseana) or at any DFA Satellite Offices within Metro Manila (Ali Mall, SM Manila, SM Megamall and Alabang Town Center) or Regional Consular Office to apply for your passport.

A Philippine passport applicant (first time or renewal) is required to appear in person. Just bring the following:

  • Original and photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate of Applicant
  • Original and photocopy of NSO Marriage Certificate of Parents of Applicant
  • Original and photocopy of Passports of both parents

Steps by step in filing a passport application:

  1. Processing
  2. Passport Enrollment Section
  3. Payment of Passport Processing Fees- Regular Processing PhP 950 (15 working days);  Express Processing PhP 1200 (7 working days)
  4. Encoding/Picture taking
  5. Delivery Counter (optional)

I brought my husband and my own passport (including photocopies of first page-with photo and last page) with me on the day of filling the application. Make sure your passport are still within 6 months validity period. It will be returned to you immediately right after the officer checks the authenticity of the document/s.

If you are married, only one passport of parents is required, however, you have to present an original NSO Certified Marriage Certificate (with a photocopy).
