Afternoon Tea at Makati Shangri-La Lobby Lounge | Restaurant Review

After our lunch at Nihonbashi Tei Izakaya Restaurant, DH and my brother decided to go back and stay in their respective hotel rooms. The rest of us roamed around the lobby where we took turns taking our photos in front of the Easter Bunny. I spotted a signage with Afternoon Tea Specials at the Lobby Lounge, went to check it out and reserved a table.

Sencha Peppermint and Cinnamon PhP 140

Since there were four of us and only two cups were served in every pot, we ordered a pot of Sencha Peppermint Cinnamon tea.

Steamed in the Sencha style, this green tea is beautifully combined with natural mint leaves to offer a gentle, reviving combination.

Sencha Peppermint and Cinnamon was not bad tasting, it was not great either. I think we should have ordered Moroccan Mint instead.

Prices of tea selection at the Lobby Lounge varies from cheapest at PhP 140 to the most expensive at PhP 195 which is Ti Guan Yin- an oolong tea; a delicate tea, pleasing in appearance and on the palate, has a pale yellow liquor and offers a gentle taste with hints of olive and herb.

with my cup of Rose with French Vanilla

Aside from Sencha Peppermint and Cinnamon tea pot, we ordered the Lobby Lounge Special under Afternoon Tea set. The selection comes with your choice of Ronnefeldt tea in a pot or Lavazza coffee in a cup.

For our tea, my sister chose Rose with French Vanilla- the floral aroma of rose petals gives this tea a seductive quality. Tinged with the flavor of French vanilla, this is a gentle and feminine brew.

This tea is perfect for us because it smelled so good and tasted better than Sencha Peppermint and Cinnamon. We loved it.
