The recent Closeup Diamond Attraction launch was held at The Blackbird. It is the newest fine dining restaurant located in Makati.
|Homemade Bread, Echre Butter & Red Pesto|
Upon seating, there was already a set of homemade bread, an echre butter and red pesto waiting for us on our long table. The slices of French Baguette at the center of the plate were as hard as rock but the rest were okay. I was able to eat them without breaking my teeth ; p
|Prawn Scotch Egg, Betel Leaves, Chili Coconut Sambal, Grilled Octopus, Cucumber Pickle, Sesame, Soy, Crab Cakes, Green Apple and radish slaw|
These are three hard to resist appetizers in one plate. I especially like Prawn Scotch Egg wrapped in Betel Leaves and Crab Cakes with radish slaw.
|Porcini and Portobello Mushroom Cappuccino|
I love mushroom to begin with so this soup really hit the spot. This is one yummy soup.
|Dry Rubbed Wagyu Hanger Steak, Mustard Butter and Fries|
This plate was not the melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu as I have hoped for but it was juicy and tasty nonetheless.
|Sticky Date Pudding, Caramel Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream|
I always have room for dessert and this sticky date pudding made up for all the shortcomings. It's sweet and delectable at the same time.
