My family and I were back at Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons last Sunday. We had dinner at Coco Ichibanya, the #1 Japanese Curry House in the world with over 1,400 stores!

I experience curry overload when I visited Malaysia several years back. Since I came back from my trip, I can count on my fingers the number of times I cooked a curry dish for DH. When he saw the curry house, it was a no-brainer that's where we will be having our dinner.
DH loves udon and curry so his order, the Curry Udon, is a perfect combination. I tasted the spicy curry soup, it was so good I could not just stop at one sip. Just make sure to have a glass of water on stand-by ; p
Shrimp Curry Rice Gratin

I wish I can offer the same praise for my order, Shrimp Curry Rice Gratin. I was disappointed when I saw how small the serving was. The presentation looks nothing like the one in the photo on the menu, I can hardly see/visualize the shrimps. The shrimps were few in numbers and the cheese was bitin too. The taste was not impressive, I regret ordering it. It was not worth the price.
Fukujinzuke is pickled radish commonly used as a relish for Japanese curry
Thankfully, there's Fukujinzuke. I paired it with the curry rice when all the shrimps were gone ; p
