Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina U.P. Town Center | Restaurant Review

When I went to U.P Town Center with my family last Sunday, I was happy to find out that a lot of my favorite shops are now open. But I will not talk about the stores in this entry because we were not there to shop but to eat.

DH wanted to try something new, and at the same time, exciting to our palate. What better way to find out than to look for a restaurant with the longest queue. Well, we found one- Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina.

Beef Nachos Php 180

Silantro was not yet open when we arrived but the line outside was already long. By the time we were ushered inside, the restaurant was already packed with families having Sunday lunch together.

DH was all fidgety because he was already feeling hunger pangs- we jogged at the U.P. Acad Oval earlier. On my part, I didn't feel that I was hungry until I saw the menu. In my mind, I wanted to order everything listed on it. As usual, DH beat me to it.

Calliente Wings Php 180

I would recommend all the items that we ordered under Appetizer- Nachos, Tacos and Wings. Silantro didn't scrimp on our orders as you can see in the photos above. It was tasty and truly satisfying.

Silantro's Pork Ribs Php 310

Unfortunately, I could not say the same for the items we ordered under the Main Course. Silantro's Pork Ribs has more bones than meat. The little meat we got was charred. Not a good choice to spend 300 pesos!

Rib Fingers Php 220

The waiter told me that Rib Fingers are boneless meat so I ordered it. What he forgot to tell me was that it will be chewy. I think I got the tendon part of the meat huhu I just ate the mashed potatoes on the side ; (

Since the restaurant was at full capacity at the time we had our lunch, it was pretty hard to catch the attention of the staff.
