Isaribi Tomas Morato

My daughter is only 5 but she has already made a lot of friends. One of her friends from her former preschool invited her to Isaribi to celebrate her 5th birthday. It is a Japanese restaurant along Scout Lozano in Quezon City. The family restaurant was easy to spot because it has huge signage in front and a multi-level parking lot beside it.

Isaribi

Takoyaki Php 200

That was last September, I went back twice already since our first visit. The second time was with DH. Even though he was not impressed with the food, I was still happy because that's where we spent a leisurely Sunday lunch and not in some crowded restaurant. The most recent one was with my side of the family on a Saturday. On both occasions, we were given complimentary side salad, rice and miso soup together with our orders.

What to Order?

takoyaki deconstructed hehe

Spicy Salmon Maki Php 240

Whenever I dine at Isaribi, I always order the following- Spicy Salmon Maki and Takoyaki. The latter is cooked right at your table. You can see all the ingredients neatly arranged including the topping and the dressing. Even though I have already seen how Takoyaki ball takes it shape numerous times, I still want to watch it over and over again.

Sashimi Santen Mori Php 380

My dad ordered Sashimi Santen Mori. It includes 3 kinds of sashimiuni (sea urchin), maguro (tuna) and salmon. These are all neatly arranged on top of a boat filled with dry ice to give it a special effect upon placing it on our table. Its primary function is to lower down the temperature so the sashimi will stay fresh longer.

Yakiniku Don Php390

My sister ordered Yakiniku Don instead of the usual Gyudon (Php 300), The meat slices are thicker and also not as fatty as the sukiyaki beef found in most order of Gyudon.

Tamago

Ebi Tempura Php 300

Of course, a trip to a Japanese restaurant is not complete without ordering my daughter's favorite- tempura and tamago sashimi.

Before we left, one of the staff gave us coupons for our next visit. Too bad, it already expired huhu Anyways, I will definitely be back for takoyaki!
