Our friends are going back to Canada so we set one last dinner date with them at a place called Your Local in Makati. It was a perfect opportunity to try some of the dishes which I only see on my Instagram feed.

I was not the one who ordered the Smoked Salmon Donburi but I ended up eating half of what was left in the bowl. My order, Lamb Rendang (photo above) came out too spicy. I could not even muster to swallow one spoonful of lamb. DH is a Bicolano and he ate this dish with gusto ; p

Another favorite of our group is this Braised Beef Pasta. DH ordered this dish but since he ate my order, it was my little girl who ended up eating a third of it.

Except for the open kitchen area, the entire restaurant was dimly-lit. Thank goodness for friends who turned on the Assistive Light function on their phones, taking photo of the food was not a problem!

Our night didn't end in Your Local, we transferred to Yardstick which is located right next door. There's actually a secret door from where we were seated so we didn't get out of Your Local to enter Yardstick for late night coffee.
