And just like that... January's over!
I think this entry is weather appropriate since it's been drizzling for the past several days ;p We all need a bowl of hot ramen to keep us warm. The following photos were taken at the newly opened Ramen Shokudo along Banawe in Quezon City.

Ramen Shokudo Tantanmen (Spicy) Php 380 |
DH has been looking forward to the opening of Ramen Shokudo ever since he spied its signage a few weeks back. The setup of the restaurant is like that of a small, typical ramen house in Japan. There were several chairs in front of the counter where you can see your ramen and everything else that you have ordered being prepared.
Ajitama (Japanese Egg) + Fireball (Minced Pork in Oil) Php 49 each |
A lone cashier stand is the first thing you see as you enter the ramen house. It was the owner himself who suggested our main orders- Tantanmen for DH and Shoyu for me.
After paying for our orders, we were ushered to vacant seats at the far end of the counter.
Ramen Shokudo Shoyu (Soy Sauce) Php 360 |
There was a generous serving of ramen, alright, but the serving of meat was lacking-both in size and quantity. I was not satisfied with two pieces of matchbox size meat sitting on top of of my ramen... bitin! With the price we paid, I expect more meat, whether in quantity or size.
On the plus side, we slurped down the broth to its last drop. That's how good it was!
One of the staff told us that the Japanese consultant was there, so eating at Ramen Shokudo right now is as authentic as it can get ; )
Gyoza 5pcs. Php 149 |
