Marcia Adams | Tagaytay Food Trip

My daughter's school year has ended and it's officially the start of her summer vacation! Last weekend, we drove for two hours to Tagaytay to visit Marcia Adams' Restaurant.

It was my sister's idea to visit this Tuscan-inspired restaurant. She made a reservation and booked a table for five a few days before our intended visit. Thanks to the ever-reliable Waze, we were able to get to the venue on time.

Marcia Adams | A Tuscan-inspired Restaurant

We were one of the first guests to arrive and we took our time having our photos taken- in the dining area, in the garden, etc. Every nook was Instagrammable.

  Appetizers

(clockwise from top) Bread | Amalfi Prawns (add Php 75 as starter) | Tzatziki with Lettuce Chips | Hummus with Whole Wheat Tortilla

As we waited for our main courses, appetizers and a complimentary plateful of bread were served. At Marcia Adams, the price you pay for the main course entitles you to a 3-course meal. That means an appetizer and a dessert are included for every main course ordered.

We had to pay an extra Php 75 for Amalfi Prawns since this is one of the two optional starters- the other one is Galician Broth. I highly recommend an order of Amalfi Prawns- the prawns were marinated in salt, pepper, olive oil, and parsley; coated with bread crumbs; then pan-fried.

Salads

Prawns, Mushroom and Arugula Salad | Php 765

Salad may be ordered as an alternative starter (appetizer) for an additional Php 165. You may also order it as a main course for Php 720- includes an appetizer and a dessert.

The one shown in the photo above is Prawns, Mushroom and Arugula Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing ordered as a main course (Php 765). Additional Php 225, if ordered as an alternative starter. Yes, you are looking at three prawns only ; p

Other salads on the list are Aegean, Melon and Arugula; and Arugula Salad with Shaved Parmesan.

Main Courses

Gindara Souvlaki | Php 700

Dad ordered Gindara Souvlaki- marinated in olive oil, lemon and herbs.

Greek Lamb Stew | Php 895

My mom ordered Greek Lamb Stew- cooked slowly in red wine, tomatoes and cinnamon. This dish turned out to be a favorite of ours.

Grilled Aromatic Pork | Php 700

All main dishes are served with organic rice. For an additional Php 75, you may substitute it with Egyptian Rice, or Fried Potato Wedges; or Couscous.

On a side note, there's a minimum cover charge of Php 700 per adult.

Desserts

Strawberry Youghurt Ice Cream with Berry Compote

Banana Split with Chocolate Ice Cream

Grilled Orange with Vanilla Ice Cream

Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce

I was not able to try all the desserts so I can't recommend any favorites. But my daughter and sister shared this plate of Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce and they really liked it.

Suffice it to say, we went home with a full tummy. Traffic was heavy on our way back but we all loved the Tagaytay weather so we will definitely be back. Any new restaurants that we can check out next? Comment your suggestions below. Thanks!
