Recovery Food | Restaurant Review

I woke up extra early last Sunday because it was our weekly breakfast date, of course, with #babyMartinez in tow. DH and I were tossing between Recovery Food and Early Bird Breakfast Club. I have not eaten at the former so Recovery Food it is!

#babyMartinez: Papa, please order nalang for me. All I want to do is run around the restaurant ; p

Travel time was less than 30 minutes. We were there before 9am. The restaurant is open for 24 hours so we expected a lot of diners and we were right. We were in luck because as soon as we arrived, a table has just been vacated and was being cleaned by the waiter.

mga uzi sa open kitchen set up ng Recovery Food

While waiting for our order, #babyMartinez and her yaya went to the side of the open kitchen to watch the cooks prepare our food.

looks like a lemon, yeah?

The dish above is called Sandro's Bun. It's a soft bun that has duck egg inside, at least that's how the dish was explained to us by the waiter.

Sandro's Bun PhP 85/3 pieces

This was the last piece, I forgot to take photo of the one I had which was more gooey than this one. I suggest you eat it while it's still warm. It tasted good, we both liked it which seldom happen lol

Happy Beef PhP 290

Happy Beef reminded me of Hanamaruken's Happiness Rice Bowl. It tasted the same, needless to say, I liked it. You can choose from 2 sizes, one is Regular (PhP 160) and the other is Full Recovery. I ordered the latter because I shared it with yaya.

Tapa de Morning PhP 260

DH ordered Tapa de Morning- a homemade tapa with egg (scrambled or fried) on top of brown or white rice. He felt that the tapa used was not lean enough and so it was a bit tough to chew. He liked my order better than his.

This dish is also available in regular size at only PhP 180. There's an option to upgrade the rice to Talangka rice for an additional PhP 35 for regular and PhP 50 for full recovery.

Ginataan PhP 135

As we have requested, ginataan was served last. We were not able to finish this bowl because we were already full from the rice meals and noodles that we had. In short, we over ordered again ; ( Sayang, masarap pa naman!

My Mami PhP 175

I learned that Recovery Food has one and the same owner as Mamou. My Mami is the mini version of Mamou's Mami.

This was supposed to be our order for #babyMartinez but for some reason she decided she didn't want to eat. DH and I ended up eating splitting this hot bowl of noodles.

Dalandan PhP 99

The bottle of Dalandan juice was big enough for 3 adults to share. It was refreshing!

brewed coffee for Wilson

By the time, we got our bill, families were already lined up outside waiting to be seated. I told you we were lucky!
