Happy Lulu Fusion Kitchen Ubay St., Banawe, Quezon City | Restaurant Review

Banawe in Quezon City has been our go-to area for delicious meals. One of the hidden food gems DH discovered was Happy Lulu Fushion Kitchen along Ubay St. He would often go there for delicious and satisfying home cooked meals. He mentioned it to me a few times but I was only able to try it one fine Sunday right before we went to Ace Water Spa for a much needed R and R.

Sizzling Beef Tenderloin Php 320

So far, Ubay St. has two restaurants- Happy Lulu and 13 Ubay by Cuistot. The former is located farther down the road but both are on the same side of the street.  Parking is not a problem as both restaurants have their own parking area.

Kalderetang Kambing Php 350

The menu offers a wide range of selections from rice topping to fusion cuisines. One of the items that caught my eyes was Kalderetang Kambing. Oh my, it's so good! It's one of the best items on the menu if you ask me ; )

Specialty (not on the menu)

Pig Ears Adobo

Written on the blackboard were several items that are only available for the day. DH ordered the following:

  • Pig Ears Adobo which he ate with gusto
  • Eel with Tofu which was delicious albeit too many fish bones and
  • Salmon Sashimi- not the thickest and freshest slices but okay as well

Eel with Tofu

Everything on the menu looks really appetizing. I have not been in a restaurant where I wish I could order every item on the menu all at once.

Salmon Sashimi

The restaurant is cramped. I don't think they accept reservation as the place is always packed.  We were lucky we were able to get a spot at the center of the restaurant just beside a post (?) or was it a wall ; p Honestly, I could not remember. All I can remember is the fond memories of eating my favorite Kalderetang Kambing.

Happy Lulu Fusion Kitchen is located at 19 Ubay St., Quezon City. For inquiries, call 712 3933.
