After our ho-hum experience at The Lobby at The Peninsula Manila, eto na.... sa wakas!
Na-feel ko na un deserve ko na 5-star experience from a hotel. Our hotel of choice last New Year's Day was none other than Shangri-La The Fort, Manila.
Upon entering the hotel, sa may x-ray monitor ng mga bags palang, na amoy ko na un signature scent ng Shangri-La... ang bango talaga ♥️
Actually, matagal na akong sinasabihan ni mother na super nice and reasonable un price sa Shangri-La The Fort. Imagine ₱10 price difference lang un per scoop ng ice cream (₱180) ng Shangri-La The Fort sa Breakfast at Antonio's Robinson's Magnolia (₱170). Hello... di ba sa Manila Peninsula ₱290 (plus SC plus Food Tax 💩) per scoop. Sayang pa yun binayad ko dahil walang ambiance factor sa Escolta kung saan kami pinaupo maski may mga vacant tables naman sa The Lobby 🥺
New Year's Day pero di parang palengke sa dami ng tao. We were given a table agad at the Hight Street Lounge. Nakita ko very efficient yun mga staff. After umalis un guests sa kabilang table, agad niya nilinis and ni ready for the next customers.
Anyway, may table setting complete with cloth place mats and napkins. Yun tissue (upon request) pero ang bilis ng service nila. Kala ko di darating un warm water na ni-request ko for all 6 of us pero dumating din at talagang mainit-init pa.
Coffee pala nila, super mura din lang kasi by Toby's Estate. Except yun Americano (₱150) na double shot of espresso per serving, nag request kami na i-single shot yun Cafe Frappe (₱220) and Cafe Latte kasi baka gising kami buong magdamag. Sad news lang, walang decaf para sa mga tulad kong mapagkunwaring coffee drinker 😂
Aside from several cups of coffee and ice cream, we also ordered a set of Savoury and Sweet English Classic Afternoon Tea to share for only ₱1950. You may request na coffee instead of tea un i-serve. May option set for 4 pax din 👌
For me, sulit yun binayaran for the ambiance ðŸ¤
Super accommodating nila at most importantly, very attentive. Maski malayo yun mga staff, you don't need to raise your voice to get their attention. Isa pang plus factor, very nice ng uniforms nila. Ang ganda nila tingnan 🌺
On a side note, maganda din pala un Christmas Tree sa lobby 💋
