Izakaya Kenta Banawe, Quezon City | Restaurant Review

With all the private messages regarding carnapping I received over at Viber lately, I was just glad that Izakaya Kenta offers ample parking space with a security guard so I felt secured when I went there with my family one fine Saturday.

Yakisoba Php 300

The newest authentic Japanese restaurant that opened in Banawe, Quezon City needs to add more items on their menu and make them all available. We ordered only a few items as some of the items listed were not yet readily available on the day of our visit.

Beef Yakiniku Set Php 350

Yakiniku Set and Yakisoba are both worth ordering. The fatty beef in Yakiniku Set makes this dish greasylicious. Yakiniku Set is a complete meal with 4 side sides- potato salad, meatballs, vinegared fruits and veggies and several slices of fruit of the day. Served with miso soup and rice.

On the other hand, there were lots of meat slices on top of Yakisoba. You can clearly see in the photo that the restaurant didn't scrimp on ingredients, not to mention that it was also tasty.

Both orders are good for sharing between two people.

Shime Saba Nigiri Php 70/pc.

Nigiri items are on a per piece basis. I could not resist not to order Shime Saba so I ordered one piece hehe It was yummy ; )

Ebi Tempura Php 330

Tamago Php 120

Of course, my daughter had to order her Japanese staples- Tempura and Tamago. Every Tempura order has 3 pieces of prawn while Tamago has 4 thick slices of deliciously sweet egg omelette.

On a side note, the best-tasting tempura is in Hanamaruken. It's a 6-piece jumbo prawn for only Php 398... totally worth every single peso!

Izakaya Kenta is located at Maria Clara St., cor. Banawe, Quezon City.
