This is a long overdue entry. My dad celebrated his 70th (Chinese) birthday last February 23, 2020. It was one of the last few parties that we were able to attend before everyone was required to stay home (government mandated) due to Covid-19.

Dad's Surprise 70th Birthday Celebration
I already lost a couple of pounds in that photo lol
It was really hard to surprise my dad because we were almost always together every single day (pre-pandemic days). I drove my parents around every where- medical appointments and treatments, groceries and other stuff. When my sister planned the surprise birthday party for my dad, I thought that it will not work. But it did!
Dad was really surprised when he entered the venue (as seen in the video). Siblings, relatives, and friends closest to his heart were all there. The video showed how happy he was that day. He really thought that it would just be the 6 of us. Surprise... surprise!

The party did not end there. We went to Cafe Breton right after for some cakes and coffee with relatives.
Choi Hotpot Greenhills, San Juan | Money Box
The day after, February 24, 2020 (Monday)- his exact birthdate according to the lunar calendar, we had another dinner celebration at Choi Hotpot in Greenhills, San Juan.
You know how much I love DIY so I made a money box especially for my dad haha He thought that the surprise ended with his birthday party the day before lol Well, just wait till you watch the video while he is pulling all the money one by one out of the box haha You should see his happy face lol
