My Great Food Launch

San Miguel Pure Foods Company, Inc. (SMPFC) recently launched a website and a mobile app called My Great Food (MGF). As the name suggests, you can find food recipes that can be easily done at home, plus, a whole lot more!

The event was attended by my fellow lifestyle bloggers/moms. To break the ice, we were grouped together by table and played a guessing game. It was fun guessing the ingredients in Purefoods Fiesta Ham with Tamarind Glaze.

After the game, we were all eager and curious as we await the cooking demo of Chef Aileen Anastacio, owner of Goodies N' Sweets and Marmalade Kitchen, where the event was held.

Eggs Benedict by Chef Aileen Anastacio:


  • 2 large eggs, poached
  • 1 piece English muffins, halved
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 2 pcs Purefoods Classic Honeycured Thick Cut Bacon
  • 1 recipe fool proof hollandaise

To poach eggs: Fill a large pot with 3 inches of water. Bring to boil over high heat. Add 1tbsp vinegar. Reduce the heat to low so there are only few bubbles simmering on the surface

Break one egg into a small bowl or measuring cup. Using a spoon, swirl it around the simmering water to creat a whirlpool effect. Drop the egg into the water in a quick motion so the egg keeps it's shape when it hits the water. Repeat with the remaining egg. Cook 2-3 mins. (Use slotted spoon to gently lift the eggs out of the water and place them on paper towels to slightly drain. Season with salt and pepper.

While the eggs are poaching, cook the Purefoods Classic Honeycured Thick Cut Bacon in a sauté pan until warmed, about 1 minute per side. Set aside.

Lay the Purefoods Classic Honeycured Thick Cut Bacon over each English muffin. Top with the poached egg. Spoon about 1 1/2 to 2 tbsp of Hollandaise. Garnish with a pinch of Cayenne pepper. Serve immediately.

When I got home, I downloaded My Great Food mobile app for free on the App Store and Google Play.

I searched for Purefoods Tender Juicy Spaghetti

To search for recipes, type in a keyword, in this case, spaghetti. The app will give you various recipes to choose from.

If you don't have the list of ingredients, you can click Add to Grocery List

MGF app will immediately transfer the list of ingredients to your grocery list

If you have some of the ingredients, you can just tick it off your list. Easy peasy, right?

Purefoods Tender Juicy Spaghetti list of ingredients: 400g Spaghetti, Magnolia Quickmelt Cheese, 75 g chopped mushrooms, 310 g Purefoods Meaty Spaghetti Sauce, 8 tbsp Magnolia Nutri-Oil, Purefoods Tender Juicy hotdogs, onion and garlic

2 tbsp of garlic, half a cup of Magnolia Quickmelt cheese, half a cup of onion, 85 grams of Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs

Purefoods Tender Juicy Spaghetti

Procedure on how to cook Purefoods Tender Juicy Spaghetti:

In a pan, heat oil and saute onion and garlic. After a minute, add mushrooms and saute for 30 seconds. Add Purefoods Tender Juicy hotdogs and cook for one minute.  Add Purefoods Meaty spaghetti sauce and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.

It was easy to look for the ingredients in supermarket. I did not have a hard time preparing and cooking Purefoods Tender Juicy Spaghetti. Best of all, we all loved eating the spaghetti as an afternoon snack ; )
